We owned our first German Shepherd in 1964, and became actively involved in training, showing, and breeding in 1974, with the foundation of this kennel being established in 1976. First and foremost they were family pets. From a breeding perspective they combined beauty with a broad spectrum of working ability from German and English bloodlines. Our aim has always been to breed dual-purpose dogs that are free from exaggeration in shape, with the emphasis on producing soundness, excellent temperaments, and low hip scores.
This has produced dogs used in Canine Behaviour Therapy, Service Dogs, Police Dogs including a Drugs Detection Dog and Police Working Trials Award Winners, Prize winners in Obedience, Agility, and in the Show Ring including Crufts. Many of our dogs are Family Pets that have past their Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Tests. Some have helped children with learning difficulties, and others are Companions on Farms and in Stables.
Our latest pride and joy is Koda, who passed his audition in 2010 to appear in the Natures Menu TV Advert and on YouTube. All our breeding stock can be traced back to our original foundation. Other bloodlines have been incorporated into our foundation without losing type or ability.
